The Taos Sports Alliance is hosting a referee clinic, training and recertification course in conjunction with Taos Soccer Club and Northern Soccer Club on August 3. State Trainers Kim Thomas and Joe Fawcett will train a room-full of prospective referees from 8am to 5:30pm at Taos Youth and Family Center. The training includes an on-field scrimmage in which officials will experience the live game and situations of play. The scrimmage, fielded by Taos High School and Taos Soccer Club participants, provides a great, comfortable atmosphere to try one’s hand at making the calls. To register visit the Taos referee page.
