The Taos Tigers (boys) soccer team won Saturday’s home conference game against rival school Robertson by a score of 7-0 at Taos Eco Park. The boys had the same outcome on October 9, playing the Cardinals away. The lady tigers lost to Robertson 5-1, and they will get their chance to settle the score on October 23 as they hit the road.
The Taos boys currently find themselves sitting at #33 in the state, and number 6 in boys 4A rankings, with a 14-5-0 record. The Lady Tigers are now sitting at 7 in 4A, 34 in the state and hold a 12-4-1 record. Both teams’ game stats outperform the national average across the board, and boys leading scorer, Junior, Aidan Cserhat owns 48 of the team’s 98 goals, and 17 assists. The leading scorer for the Lady Tigers, Cora Cannedy has put up a respectable 23 goals for her team as a Freshman.
Taos Eco Park will host the state qualifying rounds for 4A this month, though the schedule is to be determined. Stay tuned for more info on your Taos Tigers, as they head toward the state tournament.
