Taos High School Varsity Soccer programs were victorious this Saturday with the girls narrowly defeating Kirtland Central in kicks with Kaelin Tonrey scoring the Tigers regulation goal. The girls played to a packed house and warmed up the fans for the boys to play Portales. They won the first half with ease finishing 6-0, 4 goals in the first half and 2 in the early part of the second, before switching in their bench to take some of the pressure off of Portales. Carlos Ruiz had 2 beautiful goals and an assist on the game, goals were provided by Defender Nico Cserhat, Midfielder Ian Sanderson, Midfielder Matt Mirabal, and one by leading goal scorer and striker, Aidan Cserhat. Both teams are preparing at the Eco Park field this week to travel Wednesday and play Thursday morning at APS complex, and check out the excitement of the State Meet.
